These terms govern your use of Storico, both the open source software and any related services. By using Storico, you agree to them.
Storico (“Storico”, “we”) provides an open source tool for decomposing user stories into Kanban tasks. These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) form a binding agreement between you, or the organization you represent (“you”), and Storico, and cover: (1) the open source software distributed under the MIT License; and (2) any related services we may provide, such as hosted endpoints or cloud LLM integrations.
Storico is released under the MIT License. You are free to use, modify, and distribute the software in accordance with the terms of that license. Nothing in these Terms restricts the rights that the MIT License grants you.
You agree that you will not use Storico to: (a) violate any applicable law or regulation; (b) process personal data without a lawful basis to do so; (c) distribute malware or disrupt any system or network; (d) probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without authorization; (e) resell or sublicense the Service as a competing product. You are solely responsible for the legality of your use of Storico and for the data you process with it.
As between you and us, you own the user stories you submit and the tasks generated by Storico. We do not claim ownership of your content. When using a local model via Ollama, your data never leaves your machine. When using a cloud LLM provider, your data is processed according to their policies as described in our Privacy Policy.
The Storico name and logo are our trademarks. The open source code is governed by the MIT License. If you send us feedback or suggestions, you grant us a royalty-free right to use them to improve the project.
Storico can connect to third-party services such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and GitHub. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their availability, security, or data practices. Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms and policies.
Storico is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the generated tasks will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your specific needs. You are responsible for reviewing and validating the generated tasks before using them in any production or mission-critical environment.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Storico and its contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to these Terms or the use of Storico. This includes, but is not limited to, incorrect task decomposition, data loss, or project delays. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Storico and its contributors from any claim, demand, loss, or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of your use of Storico, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
These Terms apply for as long as you use Storico. We may terminate or suspend your access if you materially breach these Terms. On termination, sections that by their nature should survive, including disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnities, and ownership provisions, continue to apply.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, give reasonable notice through the application or by email. Your continued use of Storico after a change takes effect means you accept the revised Terms.
We would much rather resolve any concern directly, so please contact us first and we will work in good faith to sort it out. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it will be governed by the laws of Mexico and handled by the courts of Oaxaca, Mexico, except where mandatory local law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding Storico. If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent. Notices should go to the contact address below.
Questions about these Terms can be sent to alvaldes.dev@gmail.com or open an issue on our GitHub repository.
